When BHOF Peer Educator Luisa Milo was diagnosed with osteoporosis at 51, she was determined to take control of her health. A retired dentist and certified personal trainer, she committed to an intensive routine that included resistance training, nutrient-rich meals, restorative sleep, emotional wellness, and support from her community. In just eight months, she increased her bone density by five percent. Her experience shows what is possible when knowledge, consistency, and self-advocacy come together.
