Support groups are a great way to learn more about osteoporosis and how to live with the disease directly from those in similar situations. Use our directory below to find a support group in your area. If we don’t have a support group in your area and you’re interested in starting one, please review and complete the NOF Online Support Group Application or visit our Online Support Community hosted by Inspire.

Support Group Curriculums
On a bi-monthly basis, NOF creates Support Group Curriculums to assist leaders with their patient meetings. The curriculums showcase timely/seasonal information, user-friendly information about nutrition, exercise, falls prevention and other lifestyle daily practices.

NOF Scottsdale Healthcare Osteoporosis Support and Education Group

The Scottsdale Osteoporosis Support and Education group offers participants an opportunity to give and receive support from those in similar situations, enjoy expert speakers on a wide variety of topics related to osteoporosis and low bone density, and learn tips on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis. The group meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month, every other month at the Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, Brady Conference Center, 9003 East Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale. The meetings are FREE and open to anyone living with osteoporosis or low bone density. The San Diego Bone Health Group’s goal is to share the latest up to date information about fall and fracture prevention that includes both lifestyle recommendations as well as information regarding therapies for osteoporosis. The NOF/New Mexico Bone Boosters is a lifestyles support group and stresses the idea that almost anything one does for a healthy lifestyle will benefit and nourish the bones. The NOF Catholic Health Osteoporosis Support Group (previously known as the Northtowns Osteoporosis group) was started in January of 2000. The group meets the third Wednesday of each month from 10-11:30 am. Meetings are held at Amherst Center for Senior Services, 370 JJ Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228. Meetings are free and open to all, and they feature guest speakers discussing various topics of interest to people living with osteoporosis or at risk for developing the condition. The Osteoporosis Support & Education Group is coordinated by the Helen Hayes Hospital NYSOPEP team. Featured speakers include multidisciplinary professionals specialized in reducing the risk factors for osteoporosis and broken bones. Programs are complimentary and open to any individual in the community interested in the promotion of stronger bones. The Bone Buddies support group meets on the second Saturday of each month at 10am on Zoom. The meetings are free and open to all.
We meet every Saturday at 10:00 a.m.central time on Zoom for free exercise sessions on the weeks when we don’t have our support group meeting.
A healthy eating discussion takes place every third Thursday at 2:00 p.m.central time on Zoom. You can submit questions for a registered licensed dietitian. She will have an outline from the questions. She will also answer your questions when you attend the meeting.
Group meetings are a fun, relaxing way to learn new information about bone health and managing osteoporosis. It’s interesting to meet others who are dealing with low bone density. North Texas Healthy Bones Society

The North Texas Healthy Bones Society aims to educate the Fort Worth community on bone health, in order to help participants attain the lowest risk possible for fracturing and to enhance their quality of life.
