Join the Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation (BHOF)’s Be Bone Strong™ team! The Be Bone Strong™ team is committed to showcasing the critical importance of physical activity to keep bones strong throughout the lifespan, and you can help. Here’s how: You can join the team and then encourage your friends, family, and others in your community to join the team, too (or they can just donate)! Together we can help prevent osteoporosis and broken bones by encouraging people to take smart steps to promote strong bones for life through runs, walks, rides, dance, or any other kind of physical activity, and by raising essential funds for the Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation.

How does it work?
You can raise money for the BHOF Be Bone Strong™ team directly, or you can create your own team as part of the BHOF Be Bone Strong™ team. For example, if you want to create a fundraising team to celebrate your upcoming birthday, just create a name for your team, think about the fundraising goal you want to set, decide on the distance and how long you want the event to last (it could be all year long, if you want!), and start promoting it! Don’t forget to use social media to connect with others who might want to join your team, or just donate.

Join the ‘Be Bone Strong’™ Walking Club!

Staying active is one of the best things you can do for your bone health—and walking is an easy, enjoyable, and effective way to build strong bones and prevent osteoporosis. That’s why BHOF is launching ‘Be Bone Strong’™ Walking Clubs in communities across the country!

These local walking clubs are open to everyone and led by enthusiastic community members who are passionate about healthy living and building connections. Walks are held weekly and designed to be fun, social, and accessible—whether you’re already a regular walker or just getting started.
Each club follows a moderate-paced walking route, typically lasting 30–60 minutes, and focuses on movement, motivation, and meeting others.

Why join a Be Bone Strong™ Walking Club?
  • Support your bone health through weight-bearing exercise
  • Feel stronger, more energized, and improve your balance and mobility
  • Build community and stay motivated by walking with others
  • Get exclusive access to members-only virtual events with top health experts
These walking clubs are an extension of BHOF’s national Be Bone Strong™ initiative—an effort to raise awareness about bone health at every age, beyond marathons and into neighborhoods like yours.

Whether you’re looking to boost your health, meet new people, or simply enjoy some fresh air, the Be Bone Strong™ Walking Club is for you.
